We came across this spruce grouse when we were checking our small mammal traps in the woods today. He was so busy displaying (to no-one in particular) that I managed to get quite close for a photograph.
I made this blog to share photos from two Earthwatch projects on which I was a team member in 2002 and 2007. I've also added pictures from an 'expedition' to the Qinling Mountains of China to look for giant pandas in 2011, other occasional wildlife encounters, and holiday photos that just won't fit onto my website now.
